From Mixed Martial Arts To Mathematics

My name is Brad Gumm. I’m a retired professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete and trainer. I was involved in MMA as a profession from 1996 − 2013 and, during that time, I competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship on a couple of occasions and I also ran one of the top MMA academies in Colorado.

MMA is a physically demanding vocation to say the least.  Due to this fact, the majority of my time in MMA was spent studying the physical aspect of life while neglecting the mental aspect. This situation never sat well with me and, as time passed, the need to enlighten my mind grew and grew.

In 1999 I was introduced to the works of Jiddu Krishnamurti and Noam Chomsky. These two authors opened my mind up to the fact that there was much more to life than martial arts and fist fighting in a cage.  I continued reading and studying a variety of social justice thinkers whenever I got the chance and I became very interested in the progressive, left-wing vision of creating a better world for all (except, of course, for the rich elite and any of their idiotic supporters).

It was during this time that I began to notice my left-wing social justice values coming into conflict with my chosen vocation of MMA. Basically, I found that social justice activism held true meaning for me while teaching and training MMA was no longer anything other than a means of earning an income. I kept my left wing political ideology mostly to myself during this time period because I found that many people involved in MMA were quite hostile to any left-wing sentiments. So, I kept my political beliefs to myself for years and, during this time, I did nothing other than read about social justice activism and issues and practice martial arts. This state of affairs lasted until the summer of 2008.

2008 was the year that my ideals finally took precedence over my fear of losing my livelihood due to those ideals. In 2008 I began my life as a social justice activist by doing the thing I was best at, i.e. I began teaching self-defense to other social justice activists in Colorado during the lead up to protesting the Democratic National Convention (which was being held in Denver Colorado that year). After 2008 I continued working as much as possible on issues of social justice in Colorado while simultaneously running my MMA gym. I attempted to be both a social justice activist and MMA business owner for a few years and, throughout that period of time, I witnessed both my gym and my activism beginning to decline.

The gym was declining due to my activism and my activism was waning because I was beginning to discover that I didn’t much respect most of the people I met through social justice activism. I was starting to become disillusioned with many things that I had previously cared very much about.

It was in April of 2011, in this slightly depressed state of semi-disillusionment, that I happened upon a website that would change my life forever and, ultimately, pull me out of my mental funk. This website was, and is, titled: armageddonconspiracy.co.uk.  I’m dead serious when I say that, on this website, I discovered the meaning of my life in particular and of all life in general.

This website ended ALL of my confusion and opened my mind up to what my purpose on this planet–my Sacred Cause–truly was. You see, this site was written by three senior members of the enigmatic secret society known as the Pythagorean Illuminati. The Illuminati are Hyperrationalists, and they’ve been working for centuries to overthrow this decrepit old world order of unreason, irrationality, ignorance, privilege, anti-merit, unequal opportunity, negative liberty, endarkenment, greed, selfishness, narcissism, violence, intolerance, and evil,  into a state of the art New World Order of Reason, Rationalism, Intelligence, Wisdom, Altruism, Talent, Merit, Creativity, Enlightenment/Gnosis, Positive Liberty, and Equal Opportunity for All. In other words, the Illuminati are working to bring about a future society reminiscent of Jacque Fresco’s Venus Project or the fictional society depicted in Star Trek. This is exactly the type of world that I would like to help create and live in. I would like, more than anything else, to see the Pythagorean Illuminati’s vision of society come to 100% fruition.

Pythagorean Illuminism is my Sacred Cause. It always has been, even when I wasn’t consciously aware of it. I now work as much as I possibly can at studying Pythagorean Illuminism and spreading its beautiful message of Positive Liberty for all. I’m writing this blog in the hopes that it will help draw attention to the works of the Pythagorean Illuminati while simultaneously helping me with my own understanding of Illuminism.
