The Book of Mind: Seeking Gnosis is part of The Truth Series by Dr. Thomas Stark, and, like all of the books in The Truth Series, it is all about ontological mathematics. Now, you might be asking yourself: “What the heck is ontological mathematics?” To answer your question as succinctly as possible: ontological mathematics is the science and language of reality. So, ontological mathematics is the study of mathematics AS the fundamental, necessary foundation of reality. The Principle of Sufficient Reason is the key principle of ontological mathematics/reality. This means that ontological mathematicians use reason and logic, and ONLY reason and logic, to study existence. They don’t waste time with any of the ludicrous ideas concerning the nature of reality that either Mythos religion or scientific materialism peddles. You see, Mythos (i.e. storybook) religions and empirical scientific materialism are both HIGHLY irrational, hence they are emphatically NOT the correct way for humanity to understand and explain reality.
True reality has absolutely nothing to do with the story book religious notions of “god”, “nirvana”, “karma”, “meditation”, “faith”, or “prayer”. Any human who adheres to any of these ideas will be led away from the mathematical Truth of reality, not towards it. Not one religious text contains any reference to mathematics. Not one “holy” book that purports to know the secrets of existence and the origins of the Universe contains a single mathematical equation or rational statement. This should tell you all you need to know about these illogical and dangerous brainwashing systems. ALL of these supposedly “enlightened” and “divine” religions are completely irrational and insane. In Truth, they are pure darkness and they don’t lead humans to enlightenment, they lead them to perfect endarkenment. It is a rational, logical, and mathematical FACT that not a single Mythos religion can tell the human race a single thing about reality.
Similarly, True reality also has absolutely nothing to do with the nihilistic, empirical, scientific materialist notions of dead “matter”, lifeless and mindless “atoms”, “relativity”, “uncertainty”, entire universes springing into existence out of nothing and for no reason, the “multi-verse”, “parallel universes”, “strings”, the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, so-called observers “collapsing” unreal probability wave functions with their “observations” to create reality, or any of the other countless depressing, insane, and completely irrational things scientific materialists say about reality. When it comes to answering the ultimate questions of existence, scientific materialism is just as useless as Mythos religion.
Let’s just get this out of the way right now: The ONLY reason contemporary science is more credible than the lunatic Mythos religions it loves to mock so much is because SCIENCE USES MATHEMATICS. If science didn’t use mathematics, it would be just as useless, stupid, and insane as religion.
Humanity needs to understand one very important thing about scientific materialism’s relationship to mathematics, namely: the form of mathematics used by scientific materialism to understand and explain reality isn’t complete mathematics at all. No, scientific materialism uses a butchered, incomplete, and inconsistent form of mathematics that is obsessed with positive real numbers. Scientific materialism’s illegitimate use of this mangled version of mathematics is the ONLY thing that makes contemporary science more beneficial to humanity than Mythos religion (which isn’t beneficial to humanity in the least). At the same time though, it is scientific materialism’s misuse, abuse, and total misunderstanding of mathematics, combined with its complete philosophical ignorance, that makes it so extremely dangerous to humanity.
If mainstream science would get rid of its ludicrous, non-mathematical ideologies of empiricism and materialism, and instead turn to the hyperrational, purely mathematical philosophies of rationalism and idealism, it would immediately become scientific rationalism and idealism, and it would ipso facto understand that ALL of the numbers of mathematics–real and imaginary, positive and negative–play equal roles in existence. In other words, if scientific materialism changed to scientific rationalism, it would immediately understand and rectify the mistakes it has been making with mathematics, and it would then become sane, logical, and clear thinking ontological mathematics.
Crazy scientific materialism and crazy religion have had their day. They have both worn out their welcome on this planet. Humanity as a whole can’t progress or evolve to any higher levels of existence while it adheres to any of the deranged ideas of scientific materialism and/or Mythos religion. Humanity must jettison BOTH Mythos religion and empirical scientific materialism if it wants to evolve into a more sane future, a future worth living in.
Now, reality being 100% mathematics means that reality is completely intelligible to the rational human mind. This means that absolutely ALL questions about reality can be exactly answered by sufficiently rational and logical human beings because mathematics/reality is the definition of intelligibility. This is what ontological mathematics brings to humanity: the ability to answer ALL of the most mysterious, and hence most important, questions of existence.
